Extended from the original 9 hole layout to the current 18 holes by Old Tom in 1868, Leven Golf Course held the inaugural opening match which was won by young Tom Morris. On the 5th hole of Leven, take a step over the 3 foot high drystone dyke onto the neighbouring Lundin Links Golf Club, a former St. Andrews Open Championship qualifying venue. Next to the tiny seaside village of Elie, the 3rd oldest Golf course in Scotland, pre-dated only by the Old Course in St. Andrews and the Old Course in Musselburgh. The Tour culminates in the Home of Golf, St. Andrews. Situated adjacent to the iconic Old Course are the Jubilee and New Course, two magnificent works by Old Tom.
