Gator Tours supports Veterans

Gator Tours is proud to support a new nonprofit, Special Operations Quiet Professionals Foundation, Inc. dba Special Operations Warrior Golf Foundation (SOWGF).

Their mission shall be to use the healing power of golf to assist Special Operations warriors recover, rehabilitate, and reintegrate into civilian life and to provide networking that can connect them to resources for continued medical care and benefits and aid them in their career transition.

The concept is to run a yearly set of retreats for SOF wounded warriors utilizing golf and its highly adaptive sport attributes as the core activity.  Golf professionals will teach and mentor the game while asking benefactors to sponsor, become playing partners, and personal/career mentors to the wounded warriors they sponsor.  Throughout the year golf venues across the country will host these retreats.  Additionally, while at the retreat treatment and counseling sessions designed to promote the mental and physical health of the SOF warriors will be provided.

The eligibility standard used for retreat participants is the same standard USSOCOM uses for participants in the USSOCOM Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition).
